week 4 Eoc 3 Scary legal issues.

There are many things that are scary about running your own business. For example one thing that scares me about running my own business is there are a lot of liabilities. If you run your own studio or business if something happens on set and someone gets hurt then that lands on you. Also in that situation you could easily be sued and that might take down your whole business. You are liable for everything that happens. Another thing that scares me is if i open my own business then if i don't get regular business in i could go into debt and go under with nothing but bills to pay for something i don't have anymore. That can put you in financial ruin. One other thing that scares me running my own business is that if you mess up on set that is your business name, your not just an assistant. You are your own worst enemy and if you tarnish your name but not doing things correctly you are only hurting yourself. That is the scariest thing for me.

Photo Challenge Week 3 sports photography

Sports photography is really difficult. I don't enjoy it at all, but being a photographer i love a good challenge . The one thing i didnt like having to shoot through the glass, because i wasnt allowed on the ice. It is difficult to keep up with the athletes that are playing because everyone is moving so fast. There are little breaks but most of the time they are contantly moving around. Another thing that was a difficulty was the lighting. I couldnt get my shutter speed fast enough for the lights in the ring. I couldnt use flash because it would have messed with the windows so alot of my photos were blurry. For this being the first time i shot sports i thought that i got a couple good photos.

Photo Challange Week 1 Self Portrait

My self portrait was taken with a nikon d90. i wanted to do a fun photo that showed i am weird and quirky. I chose the blue lights in the backround because they are bold and so am i. I used a tripod to take this and it is really difficult to get a result you like when you are not behind the camera actually taking the photos. I really like this picture and im glad i did finally get the result i wanted. I took a couple hours but i got it.

Where am i, Where am i going?

As of right now im not really anywhere. I don't have a job, im not in a relationship, and i dont have very much money. I am just trying to establish myself as a professional and a person. I am getting ready to graduate and im scared because i dont really have anything planned after im done with school. Its going to be hard to find myself when im done with school. I want to try and work in the downtown art district but i don't really know what i want to do with my life. In ten years i want to be an established photographer who is making money and i want people to know my name. I don't want to be mediocre at what i do. I want to be great. One thing that i have learned from moving from Nebraska to Las Vegas is that the world of art is fast paced and exhausting, but it is very rewarding as well. I like that. I want to be in a city that is quick and always changing because then i can change with it. One thing i was thinking about is i would love to do promo shots for movies and television. I would have to move to LA for that and i would love to be able to do that because i love that type of work.

Crime Scene

I took this photo with a nikon d90. With a 18 to 105 lens. I used fake bullet holes and blended them into her skin with photoshop. In photoshop i also desaturated her skin and added a blue tint to her skin. I also used flash on camera because i wanted the look of a crime scene photo with harsh lighting. On location like that the photographer would most likely use flash on camera. One thing that i have learned when researching crime scene photography is they need alot of light in order to capture all the evidence so they can try and find the murder. They need to capture everything for evidence. The smallest detail can help in a case. Thanks to Elly Carroll for being my dead model she did great.

Haute Couture

Why is Haute Couture relevant? Haute Couture is an incredible art form that i personally think is absolutely beautiful. I think that it would be so incredible to photograph something that georgeous. When looking through photos of HC i feel that its like a dream. These garmets create a fantasy that you dont see in everyday life. HC in photography helps set new trends and the photography aspect shows off the artists work who created the garmet. The person who put that peice together is an artist as well so when taking a photo like that you are helping that artist show what they have created to the world. I think that HC is important because now a days we just wear of the rack clothes and HC is handcrafted one of a kind art that is made specifically for the person that is wearing it. I think its incredible.

My Voice

My Voice
My name is daniella Casey and im a portrait/fashion photographer. I
currently go to the Art Institute and can not wait until I am in the field
creating what I want. I think photography sees things that your eye would pass
over. It is my outlet into the feelings that I want to share with the world. I
see things differently and I want to portray that as best I can. When I pick up
a camera I block out everything but that moment and photography lets me explore
the world and lets you see it through my eyes. I have been doing photography for
6 years and I mainly create portraits. I do enjoy shooting many other things as
well. I love everything about photography and I want to continue my studies in
the field for a long time. I want to work with incredible subjects and show my vision to the world. I think that it is better to do something that you love than hide your true self. That
is why I am lucky because I found my true passion. I think that someday I would
like to own a studio/gallery so that I can help other struggling artists get on
their feet.
